What is Footy Funatics ?
It allows humour to be the dominant factor of the discussion, we have appear at each show 2 current day players from the respective clubs appearing on the night, we discuss a little bit of Footy with them, and we get to see how they see all things Football and life in general as seen through their eyes.
With the game now being such a big business and the almighty corporate dollar taking over, which effecitvely is taking away from many of us this great game, I wanted to develop a show that gives Footy back to the people, the people are the fans & supporters of this great game.
So I want these people, YOU to be able to still meet your idols and rub shoulders with your favourite players, if you want to get a photo or an autograph you can, If you want to ask a question you can.And where else in a public forum can you do this ?
When I was growing up we were allowed to run onto the ground after the final siren and pat your favourtie player on the back, you could get them to sign your autograph book and these became our treasured memories, But nowdays you can't even get close to the players, unless it is at a controlled club sanctioned event, where you line up like sheep.Well not at "Footy Funatics" !
Footy Funatics shows run on a Wednesday night and feature 2 current day players from each of the 10 Victorian based AFL clubs.
The shows are hosted by comedian Tom Siegert.We run the shows out of venues all across Melbourne.All the venues hosting the events cater for & hold up to 250 people seated in generally their bistro dining area, All the venues are entertainment providing venues so they provide seating, commercial kitchens bars making it perfect for showcasing this type of entertainment.
Book a spot at any one of the "Footy Funatics" nights and be entertained by the panel whilst you enjoy a meal from the venues kitchen or a drink from their bar.
Tickets to the shows are purchased through ticketing agent www.ticketek.com.au
Admission fee vaires from venue to venue depending on what that venue has to offer as part of the Footy panel show package.
The shows run for approx 1 & ½ hours and are thoroughly entertaining from start to finish.
We have Memorabilia for sale on the night and run a raffle, where you can win a signed TGFF Sherrin football plus a $150 Footy prize pack.
There is a trivia segment, Club theme song singalongs, merchandise packs to be given away and plenty more entertainment. This is why it is called "Footy FUNatics".
